This is generally what I do:

Stargate in the Milky Way system

That is, the double pipe || code for a simple table, and the two upward facing arrows ^^ to make the text appear as superscript.

||= [[image width="220px"]] ||
||= ^^Stargate in the Milky Way system^^ ||

If I don't use superscript I tend to think that the text is way too big (just personal preference, I think)

Stargate in the Milky Way system

The above example has the superscript syntax removed

I use a table for that:

Look at how I did it with the Syndicate youtube vids.

Yeah, I know the basic code, put adding more than one videos (plus some text underneath) seems to be a problem.

TC: it's very very easy to do. Like leiger says, you simply paste the embed code straight from the Youtube site between the "embed" tags. And if you want a sandbox page, just make a new page and mess about :) Or use mine :

Hey TheChosen,

Which youtube video did you want to add? Give me a link and I'll give you the code :)

Generally, though, it's just:

embed code from youtube page goes here

How about a sandbox? I need a playground so I can figure out how to properly add those damn embedded Youtube videos.

Re: Welcome! by TheChosenTheChosen, 08 Dec 2009 22:21

1. Yes arcade games will be listed too
2. Megadrive. For the simple reason that the original name was Megadrive and Genesis was only used in the US due to copy right reasons. I mentioned this in the tutorial I'm working on
3. Battle for Arrakis is actually the European name while Building Of A Dynasty is the US name. It's odd that they dropped the "II" for the Megadrive version because it's really the same game but I'd class it under Dune 2.

Re: Three quick questions by RedAvatarRedAvatar, 08 Dec 2009 21:00

1. Just to be sure, we are going to list arcade games too, right? Probably yes as there's a arcade machine right on the front page.
2. As for the Sega console, which name do we prefer, Megadrive or Genesis? Or will it be Megadrive/Genesis? Both names are pretty popular and used, so its not like choosing between NES and Famicom.
3. And here's our first categorizing problem: Dune 2. There's a Megadrive/Genesis version, titled Dune: Battle For Arrakis (Or Dune 2: Battle For Arrakis). It has its own site in Mobygames, but from what I can see (havent tried it yet, will do so soon), its a port alright. There's probably differences, but its still a strategy game. So do we consider it a separate game or another version of Dune 2?

And fourth question: Does Famicom Disk System count as a seprate system, a'la Sega CD?

Three quick questions by TheChosenTheChosen, 08 Dec 2009 15:44

Glad to have you here guys :). I'm going to be busting my ass for another few weeks and hopefully, we'll have a Christmas "release" of the site where I'll openly advertise it on sites and forums. I'll also be looking into getting a deal with Good Old Games to link to games they sell.

This can either be your Global location.
In my Case the Netherlands.

It can be a web Location
This might for most users (like myself) be Abandonia.
